ATTENTION! If you have seen this man, do not approach . . .

. . . but immediately contact Jeff Sessions!

He is John Huber, U.S. Attorney. He is Wanted In Connection With What U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions Said Is A Really, Really Important Investigation…??

Like most members of the media, you may not know who he is.

Huber was named by Attorney General Jeff Sessions way back in March (2018) to look into “Republican claims” (according to CNN) of FBI misconduct and its failure to investigate the former Secretary of State’s likely ‘collusion’ with Russia in what is now known as the “Uranium One” case.

In making the announcement of Huber’s assignment, Sessions said the results of the U.S. Attorney’s probe would be to determine if a Special Counsel should be appointed as a number of GOP congressional leaders have demanded.

It should be noted that Mr. Huber hasn’t been seen or heard from, since his appointment. Kidnapped? Absconded with cash allocated for his investigation? A victim of foul play by anti-Trumpers? Living in Jeff Sessions basement?

We don’t know!

But, unlike the media, members of both Houses and political parties, pundits and political columnists of all stripes we’re curious (see our earlier piece “Where’s Waldo“).

Meanwhile, a couple of facts about the elusive John Huber, excerpted from a March 29, 2018 story by CNN :

– Originally appointed by President Barack Obama in 2015, Huber offered his resignation, leaving his fate in the hands of the DOJ.

– President Donald Trump re-nominated Huber in June 2017

– Last year, former DOJ officials raised concerns over Huber’s appearance at a White House press briefing to tout aspects of Trump’s immigration agenda —

– During a June 28, 2017, press briefing , Huber spoke on the behalf of the DOJ in support of two bills that sought to enforce harsher penalties for illegal immigrants — “Kate’s Law” and the “No Sanctuaries Act,” both of which were passed in the House.

– Huber has been in a leadership role on Sessions’ advisory committee of US attorneys that provide counsel to him and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

– During his first swearing-in ceremony as a US attorney, Huber was described as a “jock with the soul of a geek,” a protector for others against bullies, and a man who lived by the motto: “Be the hammer, not the nail,” according to The Deseret News.
