Bad Dreams

Tell me, what are the odds that every parish in Iowa and Illinois will include, in the pastor’s Sunday homily in coming weeks a strong recommendation for the flock to see this movie.*

AM I correct also in assuming that our Holy Father will heavily promote the movie as a “must see” for all Catholics?

And county Republican operations will issue a press release promoting this movie as a glimpse into the evils of a practice taxpayers are paying for and Democrats are endorsing. Oh, and ask Congress”persons” Loebsack and Bustos if they expect to attend a showing.

Oh wait! I just woke up. Quad Cities Catholic parishes are too busy obsessing on anything but  Americas kill on demand for any reason at any time abortion regime as if their other obsessions are not “political”.  Meanwhile it would not surprise us if Pope Francis is cutting a promotional trailer for Al Gore’s latest climate change film. The Republican apparat has not heard of the film, and Congresspersons Loebsack and “For the People” Bustos just accepted big unneeded checks from Planned Parenthood types for their campaigns.

Maybe it’s all just a bad dream.   DLH

Filmmaker John Sullivan has faced his share of obstacles in executive-producing his latest movie, “Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer.”

First came financing for the feature film, which recalls the barbaric practices of Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell. The issue was resolved by a record-breaking crowdfunding campaign in 2014 that netted north of $2.1 million via Indiegogo.

Then a lawsuit filed by a judge depicted in the movie delayed its release, as did securing a distributor. The pro-life film is set for an Oct. 12 release on about 600 screens.

Now Mr. Sullivan and his crew are bracing for a lack of interest by the left-leaning media, which gave little coverage of Gosnell’s 2013 murder trial, where it was revealed that he likely had killed hundreds of babies born alive on his operating table.

Gosnell, now 77, was convicted of three first-degree murder charges and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Mr. Sullivan said he will weaponize any cultural biases to his movie’s benefit.
