Answer to prayer: Former Planned Parenthood building is now pro-life pregnancy center
Read the story, it exemplifies the regrettable glowing praise for the misguided “re-purposing” of pro-life cash into Planned Parenthood’s pockets. Our view:
God save us from the charge of the Enlightened Brigades
Pro-lifers handed PP a million in cash or credit to further their damnedest
In Bettendorf, Iowa to the applause of undiscerning pro-lifers but warnings and appeals from Right to Life activists, Planned Parenthood was bailed out of an albatross around their neck, a building sitting at the end of an obscure street, to the tune of a million dollars of ill-led pro-life money.
This was the charge of the Enlightened Brigade who supposedly heard the sound of the trumpets signaled by God directly (just ask them) . . . infusing cash or credit into the pocket of Planned Parenthood.
“Into the cul-de-sac of death road the million simoleons,”
Those trench fighters and cavalry veterans who didn’t hear the trumpet must not be in tune with God as in their view the infusion was to say the least neither tactical or strategically wise. Just the opposite, it was sending aid and comfort to the enemy.
The place was costing Planned Parenthood interest and upkeep (from the looks of things in my personal observation as a local resident, more like denigration costs as time went on). Now thanks to pro-life supplicating of other pro-lifers, Planned Parenthood has achieved freed-up credit, if not cash to boot, and it was literally provided or wired by pro-lifers.
“Into the cul-de-sac of death road the million simoleons,”
This was not ransom, buying off an existing abortionist to save babies and not do abortions ever again, this was bailing them out, freeing up their resources to do their damnedest in other ways or move elsewhere. Because money is fungible it helps their efforts to try to take over the US Congress and other political offices. It is also part of financing their latest business model as they were closing facilities prior to the cut-off in Iowa funding.
“Into the cul-de-sac of death road the million simoleons,”
Furthermore, less than three miles as the raven flies from that very site is Illinois, part of the same metro community supposedly “demanding” Planned Parenthood’s services. Illinois finances elective abortion liberally, and will continue to do so after the coming election as both Republican and Democrat governor candidates are pro-abortion and their legislature will likely remain Democrat controlled. If Planned Parenthood types want to they can move there, and dis-serve the same clientele.
“Into the cul-de-sac of death road the million simoleons,”
The truth is the Planned Parenthood business model is undergoing change, to a great extent forced on them, but their chemical abortion model is no great victory for us. They had too many buildings and overhead for that new model in Iowa, they simply did not need the building and “enlightened brigade” pro-lifers have helped bail them out.
There is also no great need for medical services or day-care at that particular site, not too mention still more special pleadings for pro-life money to renovate it. This sort of Planned Parenthood bailout is not to be recommended or celebrated. At this time there are far better tactical and strategic things to focus on than competing with other options for commendable services in the community. There are crying needs for taking the fight to the enemy, causing them to quit business period.
A battle had been won there but by no means the war, and some of the winners opted for the coup of a building, not capturing it but buying it, and thus infusing allied resources into the enemy, helping them to live to fight elsewhere. The better edifice /pro-life coup in this case would be a derelict building.
