For some ‘fun’ reading, V’pac readers are urged to browse the biography of 75 year old “Dr.” Snipes’, of Broward County Florida vote counting fame, as proudly brought to us by the Broward County Supervisor of Elections website. (“Dr.” Snipes biography may be even more impressive than “Dr.” Christine Blasey Ford’s).
Are you kidding me?! (highlighted or boldface are ours)

It is a questionable achievement given that that cluster “matriculates” every year and is pretty much an automatic for every Registrar. But we wonder in her case what the breakdown of those registrations are between Democrat and Republican?

No, that’s not Donna Brazile, also of election integrity fame. That’s the charming and delightful Brenda Snipes, taken circa 1905.
Dr. Brenda Calhoun Snipes, a native of Talladega, Alabama, has resided in Broward County since 1964 when she and her husband Walter Snipes moved here to begin their professional careers as educators. Dr. Snipes received her formal education in the public schools of Talladega . After completing Westside High School, she entered the historical Talladega College where she majored in modern foreign languages. After moving to Florida, she earned her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction for Adults from Florida Atlantic University, and she earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. (The NSU Sharks compete in Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as members of the Sunshine State Conference.)
Dr. Snipes was recruited to come to Broward County by Mrs. Blanche G. Ely, who was the principal of Blanche Ely High School (What are the odds?? Blanche Ely High School is a high school located in Pompano Beach, Broward County, Florida. The school is named for Blanche Ely, former principal and social activist) . Dr. Snipes began her career as a teacher at Blanche Ely High School. She moved through the education ranks serving as a teacher of students from elementary through adult and vocational education. She served as a program specialist, district level administrator, co-principal, and principal. While serving as co-principal, and principal at C. Robert Markham Elementary School, Dr. Snipes was credited with using her staff development and leadership skills to improve and accelerate the teaching and learning process at Markham.

Prior to her retirement from the school district in June of 2003, Dr. Snipes had been promoted to the position of area director where she was responsible for leading principals at sixteen schools and centers. Dr. Snipes is a highly regarded education consultant and has traveled to other counties and states to serve as a consultant in leadership for principals and district level administrators. She has served as adjunct professor in educational leadership at Florida Atlantic University. She also served as mentor to students in the teacher preparation programs at Nova Southeastern University.
Because of her extensive and successful leadership and administrative skills, Dr. Snipes was asked by Governor Jeb Bush to serve out the term of Supervisor of Elections in Broward County. She began this appointment on November 20, 2003. She was re-elected for a four-term in November 2004, 2008, 2012, and again in 2016. During her tenure in this position, she has held several successful elections (2018 wasn’t one of them…unless you’re a Democrat) and under her leadership more than 50,000 local high school and college students have been registered to vote.

Dr. Snipes and her staff successfully bid to host the FSASE Summer conference scheduled for the summer of 2011. That was the first time in the history of the association the conference was held in Broward County. (Obviously this bio not recently updated.)
Dr. Snipes is an active member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. As a community member, Dr. Snipes has served on various boards and committees. She is a graduate of Leadership Broward (Class XI). Dr. Snipes is an active member of the Broward County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. where she has served in many leadership capacities. She served three terms as president of this organization whose mission is public service. She has served as a Corporate Board member with the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County. She has received awards and recognitions from a diverse group of community organizations.
Dr. Snipes and her husband Walter are the parents of two adult daughters, Derrice who is a grants management director at Southwest Community College in Memphis, and Melanie, an attorney in private practice in Georgia. Dr. Snipes has two grandchildren, Ellyn Alexandria and Kamille Ruth.
Even WashPost Concedes Broward Elections Supervisor Is Incompetent at Best

Although the mainstream media continues to deny the many allegations of corruption and fraud against the Broward County Supervisor of Elections, Brenda Snipes, even they are forced to concede the overwhelming evidence of incompetence on her part. The absurdly high level of incompetence on display by Snipes is too much for even some in the liberal media, which would normally be expected to jump to her defense especially since the highly questionable Broward ballots threaten to deprive Rick Scott of his U.S. Senate victory over incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson.
One example of the admission of Snipes’ utter incompetence (but not of corruption) comes in this November 9 Washington Post article by Amy Gardner, Beth Reinhard, and Lori Rozsa:
During the 2004 presidential election, Snipes blamed the U.S. Postal Service for losing 58,000 absentee ballots, then later announced that only 6,000 ballots had disappeared. Postal officials said they had done nothing wrong. Then Snipes’s office dropped off 2,400 blank absentee ballots for voters at the post office on a Saturday before the election, after mail carriers were already gone for the day.
And in 2016, Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz faced a primary challenge from a Bernie Sanders-backed candidate, Tim Canova, in Florida’s 23rd District. Canova sued Broward election officials and asked to inspect the physical ballots in the race. Snipes was accused of destroying the physical ballots while saving digital copies as the lawsuit was pending — a violation of a federal statute requiring that congressional ballots be saved for 22 months after an election.
Hmmm… Mere incompetence or outright fraud?
The Atlanta Journal Constitution also revealed on November 10 the Defcon 1 level of Snipes’ incompetence:
Some of the previous glitches that have occurred during Snipes’ tenure as supervisor of elections:
A court ruled Snipes had broken election law when she destroyed ballots from the 2016 election 12 months after it, instead of the 22 months required by federal law, the Sun-Sentinel reported.
Election results in the 2016 primary were posted on the election office’s website before the polls closed, the newspaper reported.
In 2012, nearly 1,000 uncounted ballots were discovered a week after the election, according to the Sun-Sentinel.
In 2004, approximately 58,000 mail-in ballots were not delivered to voters, the newspaper reported.
“Glitches.” It sounds so much better than outright fraud. And perhaps this could explain the liberal media embracing the idea of just the incredible incompetency of Snipes.

Brenda Snipes accidentally mixed more than a dozen rejected ballots with nearly 200 valid ones, a circumstance that has led to Republican alleging that she is incompetent.
The mistake — for which n
o one had a solution Friday night, 9th November 2018 — was discovered after Snipes agreed to present 205 provisional ballots to the Broward County canvassing board for inspection. She had initially intended to handle the ballots administratively but agreed to present them to the canvassing board after Republican attorneys objected.
Broward must present its unofficial vote total from the midterm elections to the state by noon Saturday, 10th October 2018. Recounts are expected in races for U.S. Senate, governor and commissioner of agriculture. Snipes has become a target for Republican politicians alleging corruption and incompetence after her office was still counting thousands of early and absentee ballots in the days following Tuesday’s 6th November 2018 election.
