The Fence Street Journal is sad … but for Trump, we’da had that “Wall”

This is a classic . . . what we should expect from the treacherous anti-Trumpers, ‘open borders’ advocates, and rapacious liberals (of which the Wall Street Journal seems amply endowed:

The lede of its Saturday front page story:

“President Trump’s declaration of a national emergency to build a wall on the US southern border comes after two years of political neglect of his signature campaign promise, lost amid competing priorities and divisions within his administration, according to current and former White House officials, lawmakers and congressional staffers.”  (boldface ours)

Well, I’ll be darned. We learn now, from this story, that there is no wall on the southern border due primarily to “political neglect” on the part of President Trump hisself!

By golly, the WSJ suggests to us that GOP congressional leaders have been ‘raring to go’ for two years to get that wall built. Presumably according to the paper’s account, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, the “Flake”, McCain, Bobbie Corker, and a whole host of other Republican House and Senate members worked relentlessly to get that wall built while they were in the majority in both houses, as they had promised voters they would do, and…danged if Trump didn’t let’em down!

Wouldn’t you know?

The “Deep State” was right. They shoulda impeached Trump so’s we could have real border and national security and a strong, fair immigration policy that properly respects the law-abiding, eager to assimilate into America’s culture immigrants who followed the law and have made great sacrifice to become American citizens!

AND HOW DO WE KNOW THAT IT’S ALL TRUMP’S FAULT?

WHY THE JOURNAL ASKED “CURRENT AND FORMER WHITE HOUSE OFFICIALS (LIKE OMAROSSA AND TILLERSON ?), LAWMAKERS (PROBABLY CALLED PAUL RYAN AT HOME) AND ‘LOYAL’ CONGRESSIONAL STAFFERS” (LIKE MCCAIN’S, FLAKE’S, ET AL?).

The Journal’s reporters might have even gotten their information from ‘reliable conservative pundits’, like George Will, or Bill Kristol, or or Kathleen Parker, or all of Trump’s ‘avid supporters’ at the Weekly Standard!

“Chuck” Grassley, you better say another prayer!         DLH
