Google his name and you’ll find 9 out of 10 or so links to stories lamenting how poor Johnny was just a kid when he became radicalized, was confused and often didn’t know how he got in so much trouble. And, on top of that, he was mistreated by our military and intelligence service, and even wrongly convicted in some folks’ learned opinions.
