When does something become “confirmed”? When NBC says so? The ‘affair’ was with a ‘staffer other than the ‘staffer’ appearing with the ‘nude’ congressperson. Thus ‘unconfirmed’. A picture her husband took which the congressperson confirmed by only decrying its distribution, not its authenticity seems rather “confirmed.”

“In a letter posted on Twitter, the Southern California Democrat attributed the resignation to an “abusive” estranged husband and “hateful political operatives” who she said were “driving a smear campaign built around cyber exploitation.”
