We appreciate the pithiness of memes and the like. We use them to add ‘pith” ridicule, humor, embellishments to what our commentaries are meant to provide – other angles to news or issues of the day, important emphasis, referrals, highlights and annotations, etc.
Ours is a format that social media does not readily provide — lengthier expositions, more extensive format capabilities, categorization, searchability, the ability to add extensive graphics, fuller page views, research links at a glance. Our website provides more security and privacy as no data is sold and there is no cumbersome “opt-out”, no functional penalties for doing so, no direct or indirect support of liberal causes and only traditional editing, not politically correct censorship.
Include us in your “favorites” as part of your menu bar when you open your browser and you have just as simple access, arguably simpler as you do not have to be a member or sign in. There are no advertising pop-ups, no tracking. The format’s reach depends on your recommendations but with e-mail notice sign-up, not unlike “social media”, you can be apprised of the latest offerings.
More succinctly, we think our website format is superior even if our rendering needs work. By the way, improvement there can come through reader submissions.
Below are some great memes and the like from our friends pursuing social media.
