“Former Vice President Joe Biden, the presumptive Democrat presidential nominee, said he would undoubtedly select former first lady Michelle
Obama to be his running mate, though he admitted she likely does not want to jump back into politics anytime soon.
“I’d take her in a heartbeat,” Biden said in a Monday interview with CBS Pittsburgh when asked if he would add Obama to the ticket. “She’s brilliant. She knows the way around. She is a really fine woman. The Obamas are great friends.”

Uh, yeah, you bet Michelle would love to be Joe Biden’s “second banana”!
Regular readers know that we have suggested that Michelle Obama will be the Democrats’ 2020 presidential nominee.
Obviously, those prospects seem to have dimmed in recent weeks with “Sleepy Joe” emerging as the Party’s putative nominee and Bernie’s concession and endorsement.
But, though Barack Obama gave his “hearty”, “unqualified”, “really sincere” support to Biden’s candidacy, even casual observers of the political scene, know that an Obama endorsement is anything but a ticket to electoral success. Even better well-known is that a ‘reputable bank’ would never ‘cash’ an Obama commitment…a famously worthless gesture is not something one should ever ‘take to the bank’..! In other words, what was that “endorsement” worth? And, would you rely on Barack Obama’s ‘word’…on anything?
So…Will he? And, would she?
Not out of the realm of possibility, in our view. Joe will (whether publicly or not);
Would She?
In spite of the obvious ‘reservations’ noted, voters should not overlook the Obamas’ limitless egoism, Michelle’s as much or more than Barack’s.
You can bet that, on a daily basis Michelle’s vast self assessment of her moral, intellectual, and almost supernatural superiority, is catered to and massaged by political, fashion, media, entertainment, and academia’s super stars. (Oprah would be so proud!)
And then there’s Barack’s “legacy’ which must be protected, enhanced, and ultimately flourish in America.
What better can the “First Black President” hope for than a third, even a fourth term to complete the “fundamental transformation” of this nation?!
As we’ve noted in the past, nobody ever went broke overestimating the Obama’s ambitions and the Democrat voter’s gullibility.
Everyone knows (‘cept maybe ‘Joe and Jill’), certainly the Obamas and the entire Democratic party structure, that “Sleepy Joe’s” pick for a ‘running mate’ is in fact selection of the 47th President of The United States, by 2021, if he should somehow garner enough illegal votes in November.
And, a final part of the equation. The “Sleepy” one’s closest advisors must surely be urging him to name the “world’s most admired woman of 2019” as his running mate, if for no other reason than to head off her possible selection for the presidential nomination at the convention. (We would see that as more likely than a move by terrified Party donors to steer the convention toward the ‘world’s greatest governor, Andrew “America Never was Great” Cuomo.)
So, folks, don’t be surprised to be surprised! dlh
