A ‘”heartwarming” little story:
Fox News reported this little story this morning. Probably just an inspiring little fable during this difficult national crisis:
A young child is said to have texted Dr. Fauci, the lead ‘scientist/physician/pandemic expert’ on President Trump’s Covid-19 Task Force, asking if the “Tooth Fairy” could catch the Coronavirus and thus not ‘carry out its/his/her duties’.
Dr. Fauci, in his kindest bedside manner, responded to the child that “No, the ‘Tooth Fairy’ was not susceptible to the devastating disease that is sweeping tha nation, and the world, at this time.
The good doctor assured the child that she could leave her tooth in the usual place beneath her pillow and the Tooth Fairy would visit, as always, and leave his traditional gift in return for the tooth.
It was a story that brought a tear to one’s eye…Oh the humanity! Dr. Fauci, the healer, the scientist children and adults could look to without fear; he would lead the conquest of this awful pandemic.
HOWEVER, no doubt unsurprising to many of our readers, there are skeptics and cynics among us.
Thus, we have some thoughts:
– How was Dr. Fauci able to make this assertion? Without ‘testing’? Was the Tooth Fairy ‘asymptomatic? Did Dr. Fauci inquire of the “TF” if its family members were also ‘immune’? If so, could some of their ‘antibodies’ be harvested. Had the Tooth Fairy undergone quarantine at some point to assure that there was no contagion?
Could a vaccine be developed from possible ‘immunity qualities’ possessed only by “fairies’…’tooth and other’?
Should there be ‘clinical trials’?
So many questions! So much we don’t know! Is Dr. Fauci not giving us the whole story? dlh
