Has the Demonrat effort been to rope-a-dope on the Presidency and settle for the Senate?

We think it is an interesting question although the Democrats  are expending huge amounts of resources to win both. What raised the question is that our anxiety of late over the Senate is only slightly less than as regards the Presidency.

We have an answer but first let’s explore the question a bit more.

We saw a report (admittedly of the nature “usual suspect/ grain of salt”) that said eight Senate seats are competitive for Democrats and if all goes well could flip for Dems. We can’t afford to give them even one. Here in Iowa Joni Ernst’s reelection campaign is being outspent 2 to 1 and the polling is close (at best for Ernst).  In another race close to us, our ears-to-the-ground say the same for “Republican” Kansas.

Will late voters break for the incumbents?  We hope pray and vote so.

Now think about the Dems presidential nominee.  Seriously how serious could they be?  The powers-that-be must have seen Biden perform as VP and in the primary (no wonder Obama never got in the endorsement game for his own Vice-President) and yet here they are stuck with him, as crooked as they must have known him to be.  But maybe they are content that — well they had invested in him obliquely over the years and his persona might still have some political cache to cover for their intent on radicalism.  And yes at some point events transpired such that the systems next alternative, Bernie Sanders, was a bridge too far even for the huge amount of powers-that-be money.  And so what if the VP candidate was last of the primary pack (actually a drop out).  She was the powers-that-be’s favorite overall  . .  but come on . . .  another shrew and one that never polled well even among Democrats.

But they have assets to make up or cover for such  shortcomings.

The stars align and a boat load of money

As regards defeating Trump, the Democrat powers-that-be know the traditional power of the incumbency but also that that power depends on what the dominant national media (which feeds the local media) decides to allow for. No big problem, being part of the stop-Trump team, that media have/will allow for as little as possible as they are now four-square inseparable from Democrat election operatives.  The dominant national media hates Trump and his supporters and will entertain and magnify any calumny about them (us).

By and large they will not give honest straight coverage to Trump or other Republicans or our issues of concern and their efforts to undermine us have been relentless and dishonest. They will not report in the same tone or extent on anything that works against their partisan Democrat goals. Anything that embarrasses Democrats is largely excused or not reported. Any big scandal is ignored as long as possible and reported only to downplay or equivocate.

The newer powerful election phenomenon of social media, now better honed as to the manipulative power it presents, is manipulated not only behind the scenes but blatantly  as in actually denying access to key Republican operatives.  It is also the left’s cash cow. The moguls behind it are pouring HUNDREDS of millions of dollars of their money to the cause of defeating conservatives.  That is in addition to the effective BILLIONS of  off the books in-kind contributions from their companies in the form of manipulative processes.

The education establishment  has been wholly owned by essential Marxists for years and subtly and not so subtly indoctrinating students for years. Thank God it is imperfect because as they leave the institutions students might experience the benefits of freedom and vote for Republicans.

The left’s pets and players in the religious establishment are of considerable use as well.

And they have the fear and dependency and ignorance of so many people working for them.

So the lefts assets are in place and largely on the same page and the cash funders are pouring in tons of money to take the Senate.  But they have such boat-loads of money, and other power, that they can do both.  They can drag the empty carcass of Joe Biden across the finish line, one way or another, and win the Senate, the Senate being more important to them if it is one or the other. Or,  win the Senate and so disrupt the country as to circumscribe Trump’s second term by fomenting “unrest” in a way they hope will lead to a desired election outcome in four years.  We will see how much appeal that scenario actually has or if an attitude of capitulation sets in.

So our answer to that aspect is — no they are not settling for anything.  They want it all and are vigorously manically pursuing it all. But they can be exposed and overreach, they have before in my lifetime and been turned out.  We need both the Presidency and the Senate as Trump has shown he can get much done in spite of the House under a Nancy Pelosi. If we only had the Senate it would take a special cohesiveness and leadership just to play defense, something that we do not anticipate would be adequate. Capitulation would likely reign. Democrats can create much havoc with either the Senate or the Presidency, undo much that has been gained. We pray they will not have either.

Americans are capable of seeing through leftist intentions and rejected it. The Trump administration is good, has produced much, has been honorable in protecting this country and its ideals. Hopefully that which is innately good in the hearts of enough Americans will shine through next week. We will see where the collective soul of America is.
