The Boston Tea party of 1773 had a limited goal (focused on certain impositions by parliamentary decree) but it soon came to supporters of the demonstration that the essence of the problem was bigger than an unfair tax on tea. Tea created a thirst for independence and personal freedoms. We hope the Truckers in Canada inspire a 1776 political revolution (there and here) where people reject distant big government.
