Scott County Convention

A commentary regarding the most recent Scott County Republican Central Committee meeting and Saturday’s County Convention will be forthcoming in these pages. In the mean time the pages of The Iowa Republican, in particular the stories linked below (along with their accompanying commentary) which focus on the Polk County convention, provide much food for thought and are recommended.

Many of the tensions and accompanying problems at the Scott County meetings were avoidable. But more on that situation later.  A  dialogue between Michael Elliott, a Ron Paul and Super Liberty organizer,  and Kevin Hall, a contributing editor and reporter to TIR  appear in the commentary section of Item 1, and are particularly worthwhile and set forth some of the underlying motivations, in general,  of the “camps.”  The main articles are to some extent antagonistic but the commentary sections do provide Paul supporters / Super Liberty supporters equal opportunity to rebut.
