Let’s pose a hypothetical:
“Spike”Palin Tweets to her many twitter followers the home address of a black
person widely thought by many “white” folks to have committed a crime which law
enforcement had not yet found evidence of. Her tweet inspired some crazies to
threaten violence toward the residents of that address.
Later it’s learned that it was a wrong address, belonging to no one with any
relationship to the alleged “crime”.
The residents of the incorrect address, however, had been forced to evacuate
their home because of multiple threats of fearsome “retribution”.
Spike Palin apologizes to the residents but many white folks continue to regard
her as heroic for attempting to bring “justice”.
Does anyone want to hazard a guess how the QC Times’ Ed board would play this
one in an editorial? Does anyone even want to bet the QCT would even touch the
matter editorially?
Yet, the QCT wasted no time in suggesting in a moving editorial, that the
non-hypothetical Palin, by her “rhetoric” and “uncivil” discourse had somehow
played a role in the ..”Gabby” Giffords tragedy.
Oh well, if you wait for a deal, subscription to this “news”paper is still
cheap…appropriately so. DLH
