Thanks to the intolerance of the left, it’s really unusual now for a corporate executive of a major company to proudly embrace traditional marriage and Judeo-Christian values. Homosexuality is in, and faith has been shoved into the closet.
Dan Cathy, president of Chick-fil-A, is learning that lesson the hard way. In recent days, he has given interviews expressing his support for the family and his opposition to same-sex marriage. You can read more about that here.
The left’s reaction has been predictable. Rather than respecting Cathy’s First Amendment rights to free speech or religious liberty, angry progressives are trying to browbeat him into silence. Chick-fil-A restaurants are being boycotted. The mayor of Boston is vowing to prevent any Chick-fil-A stores from opening in his city.

Really! Is the mayor a part of municipal GOVERNMENT? And is thus GOVERNMENT threatening retaliation against a private Citizen’s expression of free speech?!?!
Oh…that’s right in this case it’s OK. The “injured” party is a very protected class.
Just as recognized by the Defense Department which explained Saturday that it was making an exception to its policy which generally bars troops from marching in uniform in parades. The event, of course, was the San Diego gay pride parade.
The Pentagon explained it was making the “allowance” because organizers had encouraged military personnel to march in their uniform and the “parade was getting national attention.”
Well, that’ s OK then…gay pride, national attention…what could be more important to national security? It’ll be interesting to see which group or cause and for what reason similar “allowance” is made the next time. (QC Times…you listening…sounds like grist for a celebratory editorial.)
I just read today the Muppets are cutting ties with Chick-fil-A. Apparently they had some ties to begin with or something and the Huffpost and every lefty site I browsed today wants people know this. I always thought Gonzo and Beaker were gay.
Anywho, I will be hitting Chick-fil-A tomorrow for a couple chicken biscuits with hashbrowns for breakfest. So good! If you haven’t had Chick-fil-A for breakfest get there.
