Most early assessments give the first debate to Romney…deservedly in this writer’s
opinion.
However, I believe the match-up revealed a very important problem for BO. And I’m
guessing BO’s handlers saw it too . . . and there will be an all out effort to
address it.
BO’s world class narcissism is well known. This is a spoiled child in a
grownup’s body. BO must have constant reinforcement of his self image of
wonderfulness ! Fawning adulation is as necessary for his well being as air,
food, and water. His whole life has been filled with people swooning over his
“intellect”, his eloquence, etc
Last night, however, Barack, the man child, was out there on that stage, alone,
with no TelePrompTer, no admiring throngs hanging on his every word whether it
made sense or not, facing his nemesis, a man of real accomplishment, of great
character, not intimidated in the Great One’s presence.
When the decision was made that there would be no applause, no audible crowd
reactions permitted, little Barack was lost. There would be no raucous applause
or joyous outbursts in reaction to his “eloquent” utterances and his soothing
assurances that he was what they were waiting for. The debate was lost by BO
before it began.
