Post Debate Polling — Doug Kelly

The Rasmussen company does the best polling in the country, and on this page it describes the methodology used in the poll and even shows the questions that were asked in the poll.

Bet you’ve never seen that on any other poll. Not ever. This is why I trust this pollster more than any others, and why I don’t trust any others at all. And never trust the newsies’ so-called reporting on poll findings. Never, never, never.

I’ve seen screaming headlines and news stories about Romney getting no bump from the debate. But all the meaningful polls are done as rolling three-day averages so it isn’t showing up yet to the extent I believe it will. Gallup says Obama’s over 50%, but only in the “swing states” but that is not held up to any scrutiny, so it may or may not be accurate. I prefer Rasmussen.     Douglas Kelly

I got the pleasure of watching Wolf Blitzer on CNN present the new Pew Poll live this afternoon. They had a flashing ‘breaking news’ graphic that was a segway to a wide eyed and visibly horrified Wolf presenting the new numbers of a 12pt Romney swing in the last 3 weeks. Bad times for the MSM.
