In a post- Ryan/Biden debate story in a local newspaper, a 19 year old coed from
Augustana was quoted: “I think Paul Ryan is mean.”
For her to come to that assessment is stunning! One must surely be seriously
concerned, that, despite Obama’s performance the last four years, as laid out
in this column, and Joe Biden’s nasty exhibition last Thursday, there are
people, like the young Augi “scholar” out there who will vote to reelect
the BO/Biden ticket.
Unfortunately sad examples of critical thinking skills emanating from our local colleges are not confined to that side of the river. But we can hope there aren’t very many! DLH
Her full quote is truly puzzling-
“I think Paul Ryan is mean,” she said. “He sounds like a jerk. I think he’s winning the debate only because he’s lying. “I think the Democrats are just dying these days,” Soltysik said.
What the hell does this mean?
