The AP is, as expected, is pulling out all the stops to drag Barack Obama across the finish line on Nov. 6, despite his spectacular failure as President: AP Poll Majority Harbor Prejudice Against Blacks
This is just one tack the AP will be taking between now and election day. We’ll hear about how he saved the economy from the absolute very, very worst economic collapse since the Roman Empire went out of business. And, the AP will assure us that things would be better yet if Republicans and those awful, awful Tea Partiers had not attempted to destroy the country.
But in their zeal, sometimes the AP steps on its own unspeakable body part. This
is a case in point. This story hopes to shame voters into again, as many did in
2008, vote for BO for no better reason than that he’s BLACK and you are NOT
RACIST!!!
In considering this story, let’s remember BO was touted by the MSM as our first
Post Racial president. America, led by this brilliant, charming, compassionate,
non-political Everyman, would at last, put behind it all the racism and
prejudice which has marred its history from its founding.
So what has happened, based upon the AP ‘s breathless report. Our nation is more
racist today than it was four years ago!
Why is that? The AP doesn’t seem to have an answer. It’s more than doubtful that
anyone does. What is more likely is the inaccuracy of the AP’s “report”.
If indeed, however, racism has increased during BO’s term, what influence has
Mr. Obama had on that phenomenon? Although the AP would stoutly deny it,
couldn’t one suggest that, maybe Barack Obama, himself, is most responsible for
this turnaround in American attitudes. Is it absurd to suggest that his actions
and those of his Attorney general may have had more to do with it than anything
else?
One could legitimately claim that Obama’s presidency has been marked by a
relentless effort to divide this nation and to promote class warfare. Can the AP
really deny that America, over the last four years, is more divided along
racial, religious, economic, and social lines than at any time in recent
history?
We think the AP would certainly try…but then, reality has never been the AP’s
strong suit. DLH
