Now that the “fiscal cliff” battle is over, Republican strategy can be less consumed by the “Bush Tax Cut”” demagoguery of the left. The results of the cliff agreement are disgusting as inimitably characterized by Rich Terrell’s graphic above. But now we can “move on” to hopefully more solid ground, the debt problem – as in its the spending stupid.
This is a thoughtful piece on behalf of the conservative camp which believes that if the GOP does not mount an effective opposition to raising the debt ceiling, it is done. Go home. Obama owns America.
I wouldn’t presume to nitpick perhaps details in this piece that I might not completely agree with. It is thoughtful. It’s right on. And Conservatives and “mechanics” Republicans had better pay heed.
There is another aspect to today’s political landscape and for Republicans it must change.
Every Republican, even conservatives, seem to begin every discussion in opposition to President Obama’s policies with the proviso that they are conceding that Mr. Obama is a “nice guy”, a great family man, blah, blah.
I say, unequivocally, Barack Obama is NOT a “nice guy”! He is a vicious, brutal politician. He is a consummate liar. He despises the United States as it was founded and has existed since it’s founding. He is the most divisive figure in public service that perhaps has been seen in this country’s history (and, yes, Boy! is that saying something!). And, yes, Barack Obama is a racist!
