This article relates how a New York congressman has introduced a bill to start the process to repeal the 22nd Amendment which limited presidents to serving two terms. The effort has even enjoyed some bipartisan support.
But we wonder who needs to repeal the 22 nd Amendment? It’s just another of various
constitutional provisions, laws, and congressional prerogatives that Our Dear
Leader will find unacceptable “at the proper time” and thus, ignore.
It may not be where you heard it first but Veritas is where you’ll hear it over
and over as President Obama continues to systematically dismantle the American

We are told that even Republican Senator Mitch McConnell supported such repeal back in the mid -nineties. To be sure the operating theory behind such motions is that this is a democracy and “the people’ should be able to decide whether they want someone for one term or ten. It does not matter to us who is president, it is a bad premise and bad policy. We are a constitutional republic and a republic sets limits to protect itself from the corruptions of democracy and the entrenchment of power.
