Conservatives, including yours truly, have often commented that while the Democrat Party is the Party of Evil (don’t make me go through the litany, you will either appreciate the current and historic truth or not) but that, alas, we are members of the Stupid Party.
Our self deprecation was meant in terms of “acting stupidly” or possessed of naive leadership. But clarification is in order. Based on an article buried on our desk since last October we now understand that our self deprecation might have confused people. The Democrat Party is both evil and stupid.
According to the article published by the Center for Individual Freedom (CFIF) commenting on research by the “highly respected” Pew Research Center
“In a scientific survey of 1,168 adults conducted during September and October of last year, respondents were asked not only multiple-choice questions, but also queries using maps, photographs and symbols. Among other subjects, participants identified international leaders, cabinet members, Supreme Court justices, nations on a world map, the current unemployment and poverty rates and war casualty totals.
In a 2010 Pew survey, Republicans outperformed Democrats on 10 of 12 questions, with one tie and Democrats outperforming Republicans on just 1 of the 12. In the latest survey, however, Republicans outperformed Democrats on every single one of 19 questions.”
The same CFIF article also referred to a New York Times article dated April 14th, 2010 titled “Poll Finds Tea Party Backers Wealthier and More Educated.”
Shattering widespread myths, that survey revealed that Tea Party supporters were more likely to possess a college degree than their counterparts (23% to 15%), and also more likely to have completed post-graduate studies (14% to 10%). Tea Partiers were also more likely to have completed “some college” by a 33% to 28% margin, and substantially less likely to have not completed high school than non-supporters (3% versus 12%), or to possess only a high school degree (26% versus 35%)…
So there you have it. Unfortunately the good guys can be overwhelmed by dumb force as definitively as smart force. The NEA and the academic education establishment can take a lot of the credit for the dumb force.
I just stood up from my chair and gave this posting a standing ovation! I will definitely be passing this a long to a few of the useful idiots/low information voters. This survey wasn’t a secret to any of us, but people (Democrats) really believe their party is made of the smartest and most educated people. When in reality (as we see here) the Democartic Party is made of the the most ignorant and least educated voters. Aka: the low informtion voter.
Have any of you guys ever listend to Hannity’s “man on the street” segments that he does every once in a while? He sends somebody from the studio down to the street and they find people who say they are Democrats and ask them questions. Very simple questions like, who is the Vice Presdient? They never know! It’s almost unbelievable. Howard Stern has some awesome videos like this interviewing these morons also. Just incredible stuff.
Oh and I loved how the New York Times article from April 2010 you posted in the bottom paragraph starts out with “shattering widespread myths.” The New York Times created these myths! I bet some Lib at the NTY almost broke down crying having to write this.
