Honestly, this piece by Victor Davis Hanson is superb. It is the case against BO . . . the definitive Obama . . . and an indictment of the social institutions that served (conspired) to advance him.
I’ve written about a two time Obama voter “acquaintance” of mine. I’ve considered forwarding this to him, but then reconsidered. So deluded is he in his liberalism that it could only be taken as an outrageous insult, reinforcing the confident assessment of all his colleagues in his realm that conservatives are “racist” (there’s always that “component” in their view).
He would be aware of many of Hanson’s charges, but has always dismissed them (Rev. Wright, mysterious academic background, almost total lack of any accomplishment other than getting elected). Other Hanson “revelations’ my acquaintance would not be aware of (BO’s underhanded Chicago-style method of winning his elections in Illinois, aided by the corrupt Chicago Tribune; his opposition to legislation banning infanticide in service of Planned Parenthood). But, never, mind. You know what “component” is at work in such “allegations”.
So, if you have an acquaintance, or maybe even a friend who is a staunch BO supporter, and wish to maintain cordial relations with, don’t forward this piece to them in the mistaken belief it will magically remove the scales from their eyes. You will only confirm the “racism” he or she has long suspected is behind your disrespect for this magnificent black president. DLH
Editors note: Dear Don, You are no fun. I am countering your recommendation with alternative advice. I hope that our readers forward the Hanson article far and wide. You must be in a depressed mood. Normally you would relish perhaps running into a liberal spewing their latte over such a concise expose, or seeing their heads spinning demonically. Of course you may be right about the denials and dismissals by the deluded. Nevertheless I also want to up the ante for our readers . They should consider forwarding in sequence this article by Don Feder: Concentration Camp Obama. The apoplexy should be fun to watch. Then, in order to observe them bouncing off the walls we should seek “viral” distribution of this Moe Lane interrogatory over at Redstate: Has the Obama Administration EARNED our trust on phone metadata harvesting? The answer is obvious to all but the willfully ignorant, but of course with reference to liberals, that is redundant. R Mall
