When Pleading the Fifth Is Premature – Plead Incompetency

To add to the fire over the matter of extensive, in fact, universal, surveillance of its citizens by this government, it is useful to look at just how corrosive and potentially oppressive it can get as already dramatically demonstrated by the Obama administration.

First we see how the government will use information on its citizens to intimidate and '72Avenger2WebCR-6_3_13punish them in order to suppress opposition and keep itself in power. Reflect on how the Obama administration has used the, IRS, the EPA, and the “Justice” Department to go after Tea Party supporters.

Their defense to such a charge?
There’s a whole lot of “rogue” minor functionaries out there and, by golly, it’s really hard to keep track of almost anything!!!

And this goes to another point the American people ignore at their extreme peril: We now have a government in which the people in charge, beginning with the President feel no shame in telling us that they have no idea what is going on or what the people are doing in the areas for which they are responsible.

lamebrain2WebCR-6_4_13One after the other government officials goes before Congress and responds to its inquiries with expressions of total ignorance of the actions and activities of the very functions for which they are responsible.

Cabinet members arrogantly respond to Congress, when questioned, “what difference does it make?”

His advisors and confidants do not tell our President what is going on in his administration. Why? Perhaps because it might interfere with his busy campaign fund raising/recreation schedule.

To be cited for contempt of Congress is a badge of honor within this administration. President Obama has repeatedly expressed his confidence and support of one such Cabinet member, Eric Holder.

Yesterday, for example, may have been a watershed event in the the decline and eventual destruction of this great nation.
The Director of the FBI was asked by Congress, investigating the IRS scandal, which of his subordinates has been assigned as the lead investigator and how many agents have been assigned to what is potentially the most serious incidence in American history of government oppression of its citizens.
His response to every such inquiry:  “I don’t know,”  asked about Benghazi, why the FBI did not arrive at the scene of that attack until two weeks later: “because it was judged to br too dangerous” !!! !

As the Congressman noted, “too dangerous for our law enforcement personnel but not too dangerous to have our Ambassador there with minimal security???”

One needs to be reminded of our then Secretary of Defense Panetta’s response when he was asked why American troops were not sent to Benghazi as soon as it was learned that the State Department facility there was under attack: “We weren’t sure of all the circumstances and we don’t want to put our troops at risk when we don’t have all the information”!!!
Incredible dissembling when special ops personnel were ready willing and able and even the minimalist response of an F-16 sortie / flyover was denied.

Do we need to know anymore about how much “We, the People,’ are  at risk  from this president and his administration?
It has already been said, what could be more chilling than for our nation’s president and his administration to plead extreme incompetence as its best defense for its numerous scandals?!    DLH
