Election News You Won’t Find On The Scott County Republican Web Site

1. That there is a Davenport City Primary Election today
2. That there are three registered Republicans running for the Alderman at Large ballot*
3. That they are Gene Meeker, Dale Gilmour and Jason Gordon
4. Any reason the Scott County leadership would have not to list them given that the leadership has made much of  their effort to impact the municipal races.
5. Why City Council members are not listed on the Elected Officials page of the SCRCC Web site but a single mayor is.  The listed Bettendorf mayoral position is non-partisan. One would think all Republican city council members would rate listing, and some might even want it (this is not to say all deserve it). Alderman Meeker and Gordan are incumbents.

One wonders, what is the relevancy of anything the SCRCC leadership is doing as regards this election?  An average Republican who wandered onto the SCRCC Web site would have no information, not even that the leadership has no information, although they might figure that out.

* Based on 3-13-13 SC Auditor’s office registered voter list. A SCRCC e-mail on September 5th listed two of the at large candidates, Meeker and Gordon, but not the third, Dale Gilmour or any reason for listing or not listing a candidate or any of them at that time.
