Chamber of Whores

The fearless Michelle Malkin writing at Human Events  has appropriately nailed the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, in an article we think pretty much describes the politics and authenticity of local “Chambers” as well. Their interests are too often satisfied directly and indirectly at public expense. Her article starts out as follow, and then gets more pointed.  Read the entire article here.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is a politically entrenched synod of special interests. These fat cats do not represent the best interests of American entrepreneurs, American workers, American parents and students, or Americans of any race, class or age who believe in low taxes and limited government. The chamber’s business is the big business of the Beltway, not the business of mainstream America.

Senator Lindsey Graham has let it be known that he wants to be known as a Chamber of Commerce Republican.  It seems he doesn’t mind inadvertently writing the Democrats and primary challengers campaign commercials.  And he is of the political genius who think the TEA Party does not resonate well, but the Chamber of Crony Capitalists provides nothing controversial to run against.  Well we suppose embracing the Chamber’s call for laws to allow regularizing cheep foreign labor (immigration “reform”) , just as South Carolina’s textile industry rebounds, is the populist thing to do.
