Veritas editor DLH has followed the Sharyl Attkisson story, raising its importance from the beginning. He forwards this Breitbart report about a Washington Post story reporting on the departure of Attkisson from CBS News.
Earlier today Sharyl Attkisson announced on Twitter that she was leaving CBS News. Early reports suggest the split was “amicable” though Attkisson is said to have wanted to leave because she had grown frustrated with the network’s”liberal bias.” Specifically, she felt it was a struggle to get her work on the CBS Evening News, the network’s flagship news program . . .
The Obama administration has become known for being extremely tough on reporters. There was a failed “war on Fox News” in 2009 which many journalists on the right and left said was a mistake. More recently, the FBI argued in a search warrant request that Fox News’ James Rosen was a “co-conspirator” in an leak, comparing him to an “intelligence officer” for a foreign nation. There was also an incident involving phone records for AP reporters.
Erik Wemple’s WashPost blog has been the only other one to have taken a more than 24 hour news cycle interest in the hacking of her computer a year ago. It was about the same time as the government’s surveillance of Fox’s James Rosen and the AP was revealed. Both Attkisson and CBS revealed that it had occurred and seemed to target information on her work and home computers related to her Benghazi, “Fast and…”, and other stories exposing Obama’s antics.
She claimed to have a good idea who the hackers were and would reveal it soon. After that, nothing…no further mention of it anywhere except Wemple’s blog…a short mention last noted in Sep. of last year.
Would be very mysterious if it involved an entity other than Obama and his secret police. In this case, no mystery, just real scary implications. DLH
Ed note: Maybe her book will expose the scandal, in the meantime, we hope she has good security
