When Bushies blew a CIA cover, it was ‘treason’; now, it’s a mistake
This is a decent recap by Byron York, writing in the Washington Examiner, of the Plame fiasco but even it does not recall all of the sordid details which made this a true tragedy.
For example, York fails to note that Armitage as the “leaker” was known to Special Prosecutor Fitzgerald BEFORE he started his “investigation”. Colinoscopy Powell knew it was Armitage and he said NOTHING before or during the “investigation.
Also, Joe Wilson was certified by two Congressional committees as being dishonest regarding his “report” on his visit to confirm that Bush “lied”.
For QC readers, recall that well before Fitzgerald’s “investigation was completed the self-righteous QC Times called for Rove to be fired for “wrongdoing”.
There’s a whole lotta “LAMENTIN’ goin on. It’s what Establishment Republicans do best.
During an appearance on Salt Lake City’s Doug Wright Show, Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) said gay marriage was “going to be the law of the land,” and that anybody who thought otherwise wasn’t paying attention. A district judge recently invalidated Utah’s prohibition on gay marriage. . . .
Though noting that he disagreed with the ruling of Judge Robert Shelby overturning Utah’s gay marriage ban, Hatch defended Shelby as an excellent judge.
Could Hatch have issued a more pathetic statement? The guy issues an incredible view of the Constitution, common law, the culture, the state’s heritage, the will of the people . . . but other than that he’s an “excellent” judge!?
The Being There President by Ed Lasky writing at American Thinker
A great character analogy regarding Obama:
A key to understanding Barack Obama and his presidency may be found in a simple-minded character from a twenty-five year old movie. Truth can be stranger than fiction — and less enjoyable to experience.
Ed Note: The movie analogy would be better if the movie character were a sociopathic narcissist, just say’n
