Obama pushes climate change agenda in commencement speech
Let’s see if I have this right. Iraq is falling to AlQaeda, the IRS can’t use email with any proficiency except to thwart any investigation of its wrongdoing, and our dear Leader has his Nat’l. Security Council “working around the clock on contingency plans to address ‘surprising’ developments in Iraq” while he is getting in a few rounds of badly needed golf and lecturing college grads on how they can hector their elders on the need for windmills… but I’ll bet he has a ton of contingency plans for dealing with “climate disruption”.
Dear Pope, it f the world’s economy is close to collapse it is because of the managed societies you endorse, which by the way are inimical to just about all the other values you expound on. Perhaps we should chip in, or maybe the Pope would consider letting lose of an artifact, selling it to a non-profit museum of course, in order to finance a small place in South America, where he might pontificate. Maybe there he can finally get around to the visit we have recommended with economist Hernando De Soto . He can hear about the universal evils of capitalism, which he disparages by frequent statement and insinuation, and how it has really caused the plight of the poor.

When the guys in white coats finally take Chuck Hagel away, babbling as usual, perhaps the “ideal” nominee for Obama’s Sec of Defense post should be Pvt/Sgt Bowe Bergdahl. He doesn’t need a morph partner. He has morphed himself from “heroic GI, serving with honor and distinction, captured on the field of battle” to Pashto speaking guy out for a walk one evening and deciding to join some American – killing Talibanis. Then, after making possible the reconstitution of the Taliban’s leadership ranks, he apparently morphed back to good ol’ boy from Idaho. Certainly, his selection would be well received by Obama’s supporters, including Code Pink, for having contributed mightily to the their mutual agenda.

Who is going to object? Anyone with any government position or PR position who does may find themselves professionally ruined, personally attacked in the most vicious way, and denied the most fundamental rights of free speech and religious freedom. Where is the “island of free speech” in the United States talked about in the article above? Why is it OK to insult Orthodox Jews and Christians with such demonstrations? We will look for the rainbow flag over our embassy in Riyadh.
This is worth sharing with every person who has served in the military in the Quad Cities, and there are many who have served with particular honor and distinction, and maybe many who’ve never served in the military but understand and appreciate the implications of that service along with foreign policy:
In a sane world …or at least one in which there was an effective opposition party and/or a “free” press which really did believe in America’s heritage and values, this would not stand. No Republican president and few Democratic presidents would not have been removed from office and probably tried for high crimes and misdemeanors for half of what this guy has already done.
This “legal expert”, diGenova, I believe is absolutely right on target. A President who goes on national television, while an investigation is in progress, declaring, in effect, that “there’s no there there”, can’t be construed by any halfway intelligent, objective person to be anything more than directing people in his administration to commit seriously illegal actions.
What will become of it?: A debate over climate change and EPA regs.
