Fantasy or reality…who can tell with this president?

Hey, let’s be fair, Obama has a strategy! . . . It’s just that you can’t have strategies for everything all at the same time.

While this is not a verbatim quote, we are pretty sure this is what Obama meant:

“You’ve gotta deal with the most important issues first”, the President said in a press conference Thursday.

“We first have to complete the layoff of our most experienced military officers. I’m pleased to report that that program is going well. Secretary Hagel expects to send out the last of the pink slips to captains and majors serving in Afghanistan this week.

“I am also pleased to report that just this past week Secretary Hagel completed a comprehensive strategy to address the serious shortage of transgenders within the ranks of our military.”

Mr. Obama noted that a recent study revealed that there are only 15,000 transgender personnel now serving in our military.

“This is clearly a serious issue for our armed forces, he said. “I’ve asked “Chuck” (Hagel) to immediately develop an aggressive recruiting effort to solve this crisis”.

FoxNews’ Ed Henry then asked the president about when he expected to have a strategy to deal with the ISIS threat.

“Ed, i’ve mentioned the fact that we face a number of serious issues left to me and my administration by the previous president. We are dealing with them in their order of importance to our national security. I’m very happy to report that all members of our armed services are currently receiving in depth instruction on the critical issues of diversity, anger management, sexual harassment, recognition of gender identity issues, and other problems threatening our military cohesiveness. Unfortunately, due to the sequester, we have had to cut back on some our other training of military personnel, such as endurance training, squad tactics, weapons instruction, etc, stuff like that.

“I assure you, Ed, that my administration will address the ISIL matter at the appropriate time”, Obama said. “But right now, we’ve got a full plate which we are effectively dealing with.”

The presser ended as reporters started to ask about various crises in Ukraine, Gaza, etc. The president promised, however, that he will address those matters in a future press conference but his schedule could not permit any more questions on Thursday.

White House spokesman, “Earnest Josh” (er, Josh Earnest) said that Mr. Obama was leaving for a round of “important meetings” Palm Springs, the Hamptons, and Las Vegas over the weekend.
