Two uses of feckless in our subject lie within days. Our new favorite word.

Perhaps the most absurd argument on behalf of Obama’s “immigration” plan is suggested in a story in the WSJ. It has been advanced elsewhere and is a staple of the administration’s defense of this outrage. It goes like this:
“It would clearly not be legal for the president to offer (legal status) to 11.4 million unauthorized immigrants”, said an immigration “expert” . “It’s clearly legal on an individual case. Somewhere in between is where the line is.”
This “expert”, however, believes “Obama’s expected course will pass muster”.
Thus the Obama/”amnesty” supporters are suggesting that giving legal status to 11.4 million would not be legal, but to give it to 4 million is OK. So, if Obama wanted to be “legal” (a priority he clearly does not have), having granted status to 4 million in 2014, in Dec. 2015 he would grant legal status to just 3.9 million illegals! And in Dec. 2016 (following a “scheduled” presidential election), he would grant 3.9 million additional. By then, of course, there will be more illegal aliens in the US, in addition to the 11.8 million “legalized” by Obama over those two years, attracted by the president’s wholly legal “compassion”. By then, Messrs. McConnell and Boehner will be very close to announcing a “strategy” on how to deal with the additional debt the nation will be incurring for providing healthcare, food stamps, education, low cost housing, etc for ‘somewhere between “one and 11 million” poorly educated, low skilled, newly legalized Democrat voters and their children.
