Racist reporting . . . a parody

193715_5_This morning, on local TV news, they were reporting on mobs of “teens” rampaging through a mall in Independence, MO and in two other cities. The term “teens” was the only reference to the physical makeup of the mobs. Video, however, showed clearly that the “teens” all shared the same “pigmentation characteristic”.  Really racist. Hence the satirical news “flash”:

Local news this morning reported on rampaging “teens” at a mall in Independence, MO. Similar events last night were reported in at least two other cities around the nation.

The reports prompted the Justice Department to issue a strong condemnation of the media’s “racism”, as “clearly exposed in its handling of such occurrences”. In an exclusive interview in Vanity Fair just three days ago, Attorney General Eric Holder commented on the same issue. Holder noted that whenever the media chooses to report on the activities of “rambunctious youths just letting off a little steam”, while the stories always correctly note that the participants are ‘teens’ and ‘youths’, they often include video of the activity”, and, the Attorney General said, it is always carefully edited to show the “handful of young people of color who may have been caught up in the scene”.

Mr. Holder concludes that the motivation for this obvious “slanting of a news story” is intended to give the impression that “such mob activity is engaged in, almost exclusively, by young black gentlemen and ladies.”

It is another blatant example of the media, like white racist police departments, “acting stupidly”, he said.
