The Wall Street Journal, Thursday: Marines surrender their weapons as they leave Yemen.

“The Pentagon said that US Marines on Wednesday disabled and then turned over their sidearms and M-4 assault rifles to Yemeni officials at the airport as was required to leave on a commercial aircraft. . . .

“Airport officials said Houthi officials received the weapons.” . . .

“The US had positioned amphibious ships in the region several weeks ago as part of a contingency plan to evacuate the embassy, but decided to use commercial flights and an Omani private plane to transport the remaining staff out of the country.”

US Marines hand over their weapons to terrorist linked rebels. Has the Obama administration provided for the humiliation of America and further  disregard for the sovereignty of our embassies again? According to the story it was done in spite of security being better than it has been recently.   This is our “Commander-in-Chief’s” response!? Whose strategy was THIS? Jen Psaki? Susan Rice? Maybe it’s Sasha’s And Malia’s.

Embassy postings often require full dress blues. Were the Marine officer’s Mameluke  swords commemorating victory in Tripoli surrendered as well?  That would be an inspired  bridge builder to terrorists.  Understand, the Marines were acting under orders . . . which raises the question  . . .  why wasn’t an American C-130 dispatched or our “friends” in Oman asked to just have the Marines clear their weapons and check them as baggage . . . as they “temporarily relocated”?  But do not be distressed,  Obama’s press person put things in perspective for us . . .  the militants didn’t get rid of us, they isolated themselves. Riiiight.

Lord help us but. . .

We really wish we had not bumped into this article at BusinessInsider.com. It is an article about “the football” – the name given to the satchel containing nuclear war launch protocols and codes, carried by a military aid that is always part of the Presidential entourage. Susan Rice may persuade Obama that it would be a terrific “gesture of good will and sincerity” if Obama would hand the “football” over to Iran.

This WaPo article defends President Obama’s willingness to mug it up for adoring fans.  The pictures provided are truly inspirational.  Of course he can deadpan for the cameras as well =  he does it all the time when he lies about keeping your doctor, your health care costs being reduced, transparency,  gay marriage . . . it is veritable laugh straight face riot.

What a snob! On today´s Morning Joe, Howard Dean, a product of fancy prep schools and Yale, suggested that Scott Walker was unfit to be president because his lack of a college degree rendered him “unknowledgeable.” Dean´s disdain for the un-diplomaed came during a discussion of Walker having declined, during his recent trip to the UK, to state whether he believes in evolution. Joe Scarborough was incredulous at Dean´s diss, pointing out that people such as Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg never finished college. To which list could be added super-successful and knowledgeable people from Rush Limbaugh to Steve Jobs,

Intellectual luminaries like these, however, did graduate from college.

Who was Layla Mueller and what was she doing prior to being captured by ISIS terrorists?  This op-ed by Lee Kaplan at Israel National news explains —
