- Multiple sources (including AP) publish what should be devastating rebuttals to Hillary Clinton’s explanations of her reliance on a private e-mail system for her official government roll as Secretary of State.
- Anyone reading this is technologically experienced enough to follow the analysis from a variety of sources.
- Some have some fun with Hillary’s response
First the fun part sent to us by TN. From Joseph Perticone’s reporting at Independent Journal Review “Hilarious Reactions . . . ” where these Twitter feeds were posted:
Ashley Feinberg @ashfein– poor backdrop choice imo
This AP run Fact Check item challenges one of the assertions made by Hillary in her very controlled news conference. It is one of many challenges they issue.
CLINTON: “When I got to work as secretary of state, I opted for convenience to use my personal email account, which was allowed by the State Department, because I thought it would be easier to carry just one device for my work and for my personal emails instead of two. Looking back, it would’ve been better if I’d simply used a second email account and carried a second phone, but at the time, this didn’t seem like an issue.”http://twitter.com/ashfein/status/575376409486618625/photo/1
THE FACTS: If multiple devices were an inconvenience in the past, they may be something of an obsession now. Clinton told an event in California’s Silicon Valley last month that she has an iPad, a mini-iPad, an iPhone and a BlackBerry. “I’m like two steps short of a hoarder,” she said. She suggested she started out in Washington with a BlackBerry but her devices grew in number.
Smartphones were capable of multiple emails when she became secretary; it’s not clear whether the particular phone she used then was permitted to do so under State Department rules.
As Rush said today on his radio program, Hillary’s problem in this scandal is not Republicans, it is Democrats. We would include the AP story as part of the Democrats upset with her. We agree with Rush’s observation that Republican leadership is generally scared useless anytime it comes to responding effectively to the first black president or the feminist and former first lady.
Another excellent point made later in his show was with regard to the missing gap of e-mails overlapping the Benghazi attack, the issue that triggered the controversy. It is akin to Richard Nixon saying trust me or “prove it” with regards to the missing 18 minutes of voice recordings that figured into the Watergate scandal that eventually brought him done.
Mollie Hemingway writing at The Federalist has a very thorough piece taking on every utterance Hillary made at her “presser” A Line Edit Of Hillary Clinton’s Disastrous Email Press Conference
Accuracy in Media’s Bethany Scott also has a thorough analysis: Hillary’s Emailgate Explained
No one can speak with more authority on Hillary’s personality and MO than Dick Morris, who writes today about Democrat concerns (excerpts):.
Mrs. Clinton’s statement at the United Nations was vintage Hillary. She was self-righteous, secretive, arrogant, angry, stubborn, legalistic and unconvincing in her replies.
But underscoring her comments is the fact that her entire defense rests one implausible premise: that she can be trusted.
• She won’t allow an examination of her server. We have to trust her that none of the emails concerned classified material.
• She wouldn’t consider allowing an outsider to review the emails and decide if the correct ones had been turned over?
• She would not tell who made the decision on which emails to turn over to the State Department.
• She revealed that she destroyed half of the emails, the ones she, not an impartial reviewer, considered not related to official business.
Normally, this strategy of concealment and delay would be effective as it has proven to be in all past Clinton scandals. . . .
But this scandal has a time limit, unlike all her others. If it is not resolved until after the summer, we will not simply wait longer. The Democrats will demand that there be an understudy to Hillary. . . .

Conservative Daily, along with making some of the points others are making in response to Hillary’s news conference, is calling for Congress to subpoena and seize the email server Hillary Clinton used. Their analysis also maintains that Hillary Clinton’s Lies Start Unraveling the Obama Administration Excerpt:
Listen, as big as the Hillary story is, this is just the tip of the iceberg. The entire Obama administration is starting to unravel as we discover that more and more bureaucrats skirted the law by using private emails on privately owned email servers in order to hide their actions.
Attorney General Eric Holder used THREE different email aliases to conduct official business. Even now, released documents still have Holder’s email address redacted. Why on earth would he need three? The only logical reason to is to segregate the emails to make them easier to hide.
And sure enough, that is exactly what happened. You might remember that when Barack Obama used Executive Privilege to cover-up Eric Holder’s involvement in Operation Fast & Furious, he also “classified” private communications between Holder and his wife and mother.
Neither his wife nor his mother possessed a security clearance. Yet somehow, classified materials were shared between the Attorney General and the women in his life.
None of this passes the smell test.

ok, now we can hear from ol’ Jeb about *his* e-mail dilemma. 🙂
When was Jeb Bush Secretary of State?
he weren’t. He was Govertnor of Florida AND is now apparently running for President. 🙂
