London Daily Mail reports that Hillary’s visit to the Davenport area yesterday, and subsequent activities were not quite as spontaneous as we were expected to believe.

- Austin Bird sat for coffee on Tuesday morning in the town of LeClaire, Iowa, chatting with Hillary Clinton as photographers snapped pictures
- News reports called him a ‘student’ and her campaign called it an unscripted event
- But Clinton’s Iowa political director Troy Price drove Bird and two other people to the coffee house
- Bird is a hospital government relations official who interned with Barack Obama’s 2012 presidential campaign
- The Iowa Democratic Party, which Price ran until a month ago, tasked him to be Joe Biden’s driver during an October Senate campaign trip in Davenport
Now a London newspaper was able to ferret out the bogus coffee house clutch featured about everywhere, but the Quad City Times, the local newspaper of record, didn’t know the players and was insouciant as to how they happened to be there. Incredible.
By the way, after Hillary left New York in her Skooby Doo van the humble group stopped in Ohio for some vittles at a local diner. Actually it was a Chipotle restaurant, whose CEO it is reported is a huge donor to the Clinton Foundation and other interests of hers. No foul other than she is making it a cornerstone of her campaign as to how she wants to reduce the influence of big money in politics (after her election of course, or more likely, only as long as Obama held such a view relative to his campaigning).

Of course not! He should do what any member of the Democratic party leadership would do. Go to the floor of the Senate where he/she is protected from appropriate repercussions and lie and spout slanderous accusations. Is that what you would do?
