Gender confusion a fleeting mental disorder

Throwing another monkey wrench in homosexual activists’ claim that there is a “gay” gene — that homosexual behavior manifests from a biological condition rather than from a choice — a prominent psychiatrist argues that gender confusion is a temporary mental disorder that leads to suicidal tendencies, if nurtured.

According to former Johns Hopkins Hospital psychiatrist-in-chief Paul R. McHugh, M.D., a person changing the sex he or she was born with is “biologically impossible.” He went on to declare that LGBT advocates who encourage “gender confused” individuals to have “sexual reassignment surgery” are guiding them down the path to suffer from mental illness — and quite possibly, suicide — WND reports.

30 years of research doesn’t lie

McHugh points to a Swedish study tracking “transgenders” — some for nearly three decades — stressing how the decision often celebrated in the media to go through sex changes often proves fatal because of the mental toll it takes on indivuals.

“[B]eginning about ten years after having the surgery, the transgendered began to experience increasing mental difficulties,” McHugh wrote in the Wall Street Journal about the research. “Most shockingly, their suicide mortality rose almost 20-fold above the comparable non-transgender population.”

Corroborating his assertion about the ephemeral nature of transgender proclivities, McHugh points to research showing that transgenderism is a choice — not a hereditary biological trait.

“When children who reported transgender feelings were tracked without medical or surgical treatment at both Vanderbilt University and London’s Portman Clinic, 70 percent to 80 percent of them spontaneously lost those feelings,” McHugh shared.

Just as the military has worked actively to normalize homosexual behavior under the directive of the Obama administration, which did away with the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, it is argued that the LGBT community is doing all it can to push transgenderism into the mainstream.

Obama sent us down this track

When Barack Obama took office in 2009, only a few states legalized same-sex marriage. Today, 37 states recognize the controversial unions (mostly through court edicts), with the U.S. Supreme Court kicking off hearings this week that could end up legalizing it across all 50 states. Many believe that with a victory there, the LGBT community would start moving on to new horizons.

Massachusetts became the first state to legalize the “gay” marriage in 2004, when only 30 percent supported the much-debated unions, compared to nearly double that rate today (59 percent), according to the latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll taken last month. It was also reported that Republican support for “gay” marriage increased from 27 percent two years ago to 40 percent today. The highest support of the controversial unions comes from Democrats and the 18- to 34-year-old age bracket, both registering at 74 percent.

All aboard … a train of lies to destruction?

The Center for Marriage Policy president David Usher says the promotion of the transgender movement is strategically riding on the wave of same-sex “marriage” sweeping the nation.

Usher contends that since the media has ramped up its LGBT support under the Obama administration, the next phase of its attack on family values will end in the destruction of hundreds of youths’ lives who embrace its lie about “transgenderism” and taking it to the next level.

“I’m just wondering what planet I’m living on now, but this is all basically straight out of (Alfred) Kinsey (the famous sexologist),” Usher expressed, according to WND. “The whole concept is that one’s biological sex is completely immaterial. That’s just the next phase of the sexual liberation movement, to make it so physical sex means absolutely nothing.”

Usher calls the LGBT community’s spin on divergent sexualities “junk science,” saying that its mind-over-matter philosophy departs from reality, inciting homosexual advocates to embrace an imaginary world tailored to what they would like to believe.

“And basically we live in an age when reality just doesn’t matter anymore,” Usher continued. “What is, isn’t. This is basically liberals trying to bring in the last stage of cultural destruction laid out by Herbert Marcuse.”

WND reports that Marcuse gave a glimpse of what America can expect in the future if it continues to embrace the LGBT agenda.

“Marcuse was a German-American philosopher, sociologist and political theorist associated with the Frankfurt School of critical theory,” WND informed. “This school taught that it was necessary to advance the theories of Karl Marx beyond economics into the realm of sociology and culture. It was the crossing of Marx with Freud.”

William Lind, an American cultural conservative columnist, elaborates on how the connection ties into what’s going on today in the sexual revolution taking place across the U. S.

“Just as classical economic Marxism argued that under capitalism the working class was oppressed, so the Frankfurt school used Freud to argue that under Western culture everyone lived in a constant state of psychological repression,” William Lind expressed in a Free Congress Foundation documentary.

Usher identifies what’s taking place as parallel to a Marxist ploy to destroy the American family and religious organizations as currently known in the U.S. to bring about a new order rooted in secularism and extreme materialism — a movement often identified as “cultural terrorism.”

“This is the socialist mindset,” Usher concluded. “If you can destroy the meaning of what it means to be a woman or a man, then the whole country is up for grabs.”
