Traffic tickets!! The probable story of the century…where’s the QC Times?
Wow! I’ll bet there are other “leading” newspapers, whose hard-hitting investigative reporters and award winning editorial boards…like the QC Times for one, are really kicking themselves for not being on this story first. Imagine, if the QCT scooped by the NY Times!
Forget the IRS corruption or Hillary’s destroyed e-mails. Put aside for the moment even Denny Hastert’s “crimes” of withdrawing his own money and not willing to tell the FBI how he spends it.
This is big stuff! An announced candidate for president and his wife have left a path of incredible disregard for the law and basic decency stretching over nearly two decades. In 2008 they endorsed such a person but can’t seem to find much ink to to even relate the investigations of others about their 2008 endorsee. . To their credit they took a pass on this one
Imagine. Marco Rubio was cited 4 times for driving infractions in just 18 years! AND, he has not spent one day in jail for any of them!
Worse yet, his wife a probable world record, 13 times!:
“According to a search of the Miami-Dade and Duval County court dockets, the Rubios have been cited for numerous infractions over the years for incidents that included speeding, driving through red lights and careless driving. A review of records dating back to 1997 shows that the couple had a combined 17 citations: Mr. Rubio with four and his wife with 13. On four separate occasions they agreed to attend remedial driving school after a violation.
“Mr. Rubio’s troubles behind the wheel predate his days in politics. In 1997, when he was cited for careless driving by a Florida Highway Patrol officer, he was fined and took voluntary driving classes. A dozen years later, in 2009, he was ticketed for speeding on a highway in Duval County and found himself back in driver improvement school.”
Readers of the QC Times should demand that the Quad Cities’ “newspaper of record’ get a team of reporters down to Florida today. An exhaustive search of records is sure to turn up more lawlessness by this couple. They’re likely to even find evidence of habitual littering, or even worse.
