And so it goes . . .

Loathsome Rove

In today’s WSJ, the Great Architect, Karl Rove, suggests that Trump could become the 2016 version of Todd Akin, who, according to Rove “tarnished” the GOP brand with an offensive statement about rape.

Republican chairman calls Trump about campaign

Good to know that “Rancid Reince”, Rove, USA Today, and the Democrat party are all on the same page. The truth is nobody did more to mischaracterize Akin’s remarks, “tarnish” the “GOP brand”, and assure the reelection of that the wildly unpopular Claire McCaskill and give Obama a 2nd term, than the fools like Rove and Reince and the “establishment.”  Read more in these pages about that fiasco here and here.

Americas got talent?

If there’s a greater certainty than that the sun will rise in the east tomorrow morning, it is that any replacement appointment Obama makes to an administration post will be even worse than the previous occupant.

From Betsy McCaughey writing  at The American Spectator  VA scandal linked dram

Driven out by whistleblowers, Acting Inspector General of the Veterans Administration Richard Griffin finally resigned last week. Good riddance. Griffin had whitewashed and concealed information about inadequate care and phony waiting lists and tried to retaliate against truth-tellers.

But don’t expect real improvement at the VA. Griffin’s successor is another bureaucratic lifer, Lin Halliday. She’s been collecting a paycheck from the VA Inspector General’s office since 1992, while the deadly problems festered. President Obama seems to like that approach.

Seriously, where does Obama find all this talent?

Seriously Baltimore is burning

I found this to be rather amusing, if there’s anything amusing about the Baltimore Buffooness:

Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake announced that she had fired Baltimore Police Supt. Anthony Bates (for the reason she gave, it would have been more appropriate, and beneficial for her city, if she had fired herself).

In her typical smooth way with words and the lovable manner which wins her friends even among those who disagree with her, Mayor Rawlings-Blake responded to a question of whether a critical report issued by the police union, saying officers lacked proper riot gear and weren’t allowed to stop the looting, had anything to do with Batts’ firing. The lady graciously answered that it did not, saying sweetly, “I don’t think many who know me would suggest I would do anything to placate the FOP.”

(Now that’s how you get along with “folks” in Baltimore). I don’t know Ms. Rawlings-Blake but I’m convinced she would not do anything to placate the police who protect her city or anybody else except her political benefactors and any college instructors cowardly enough to give this nitwit a passing grade in college.
