Poor Sec. of Defense Ash Carter. Another distraction that will only make his primary mission more difficult. This “senseless tragedy” yesterday in, where was it, Chattahootchee or somewhere? Some sailors or Marines getting killed?
Now understand, Ash is sympathetic and like the entire Obama administration, his heart goes out to the families of the victims. But, to paraphrase the immortal words of former Army Chief of Staff, George Casey in the aftermath of the Ft. Hood massacre by Islamic radical, Major Hassan: “What happened at ( Chattanooga) is a tragedy and I believe it would be a greater tragedy if diversity became a casualty here.”
Here’s Ash, hired as Secretary of Defense by our Commander-in-Chief to do a couple of simple things: 1) gut our military by cutting 40,000 troops to insure America cannot respond effectively to any of numerous grave and growing threats around the world, and 2) immediately address the serious shortage of transgenders in all branches of our armed forces.
Now this! Can’t anybody around here do their job?
One administration insider who, for obvious reasons wishes to not be identified, tells Veritaspac’s Washington bureau chief that Obama is worried that the pool of abjectly dishonest, seriously incompetent buffoons who could fill future openings in key positions in the administration is alarmingly small. Obama, in fact was overheard to say, ” where will the next Susan Rice, or Lois Lerner, or John Brennan, or “Dopey Kathy” (his nickname for Ms. Sebelius) come from? And tell me, how am I going to find anybody as clownish, inept, and contemptuous toward America as “Mr. Ed” (Obama’s nickname for Sec. Kerry whose own staffers jokingly refer to him as “equine face” and sometimes ask him, out of earshot, “why the long face, John?) DLH
Key adviser to Obama Valerie Jarrett, a.k.a. the Obama Whisperer who oversees the Offices of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs (Obama’s public affairs apparat) was soooo excited to get a selfie in with Julia Louis-Dreyfus and get it “tweeted” out. How cool was that during the national concern over the four murdered Marines and critically injured sailor* at the hands of a Islamic terrorist!
This public “tweet” by such a high ranking twit illicited follow-up tweets by the likes of fellow actor James Woods (as reported by Twitchy.com) It would be funny if not so utterly tragic…

*Update from initial post: Sadly news reports are now that U.S. Navy Petty Officer Randall Smith, wounded in a shooting rampage in Tennessee, died early Saturday. He is the fifth American service member killed in the attack.
Obama should not despair. There are apparently a lot of potential candidates out there who can meet his requirements. Heck, he didn’t have any problem finding Jeh Johnson.
