Morris — “the general election is getting easier by the day . . .

nominate somebody who can really help us

In this article at Newsmax  Ed Klein: Hillary Racing to Stave Off Indictment  the political insider and former Time magazine editor did not really have anything substantive to offer about anything imminent regarding Hillary Clinton e-mail scandal. But the article was not disappointing as it included this observation:

Screen shot 2015-08-05 at 3.58.08 PMPolitical commentator Dick Morris said if a possible Biden candidacy doesn’t signal any animosity between the Obama and Clinton camps, “there sure will be if Biden runs, because the inevitable dynamos of the race are going to cause it, even if nobody wants it.” …

Morris added Hillary Clinton, in order to get media coverage, will have to distinguish herself, and that means criticizing the president’s record — “at first gently,” but eventually becoming “more and more acerbic.”

“It really could endanger Hillary’s pursuit of Obama’s base,” Morris predicted.

Morris in his Daily Lunch Alert had more to say about the political opportunity for Republicans that the Democrat Hillary problems present. The FBI is supposedly “looking into” Hillary’s e-mail security violations she is supposedly concerned about the possibility of an indictment.  We are not holding our breath on that but we do believe, bolstered by polling reports, that she is seriously damaged goods but is too proud to pull out. The title of Morris’s article Will Hillary be Indicted ? is more a tease but the accompanying political plea is well taken:

What that means for us Republicans is . . . lets nominate somebody who when  . . . they get elected can change America.

Don’t be so concerned about running someone who is milquetoast enough that they can squeeze  thru as a centrist in the general election.

The general election is getting easier by the day lets nominate somebody who can really help us.

We take it as a rallying cry – ignore the Republican Party establishment. We must not lose an opportunity for real change.  Another establishment controlled nominee will likely lose  . . . for lack of base conservative support and the establishment disease of being feckless pathetic campaigners against Democrats, . . . oh  . . . and being very poor at reading the pulse of the electorate. But even if a Republican establishment candidate were to win, it would be for naught for the country. No big-government policy would be rolled back.
