The Science is Settled  . . . oops

The BIG environmental science story today is that there are over 3 trillion trees in the world!

Naturally, scientists are delighted over the news. That’s a lot more trees than had been found in an earlier “census”. And, especially good news is that that means there are 422 trees for every person on the planet!

But the environmental folks, being who are they, have nevertheless issued a “caution”. Global vegetation is “still in decline”. Yessir, we’re apparently not out of the woods yet.

Now while they admit that the new estimate of “tree density” is about seven times more than a previous study estimated (a mere 400 billion), the “scientific community” is obviously worried because the number of trees on earth has fallen…now get this…by 46% since the beginning of human civilization!

Think about it. A previous “study”, using satellite imagery was off by about 85% in its estimate.

Yet, “scientists” are able, with great confidence, to tell us we should have concern over the declining tree population around the world.

Apparently, satellite imagery conducted by Adam, likely assisted by Eve, showed that there were almost 6 trillion trees back in their day. It was not reported whether Adam’s estimate had been “peer reviewed”.

Nevertheless, folks, the science is settled!
