Are elements in Europe rising to the occasion of “Western Civilization’s Final Frontier”?
Wasn’t the idea to export civilization by example, oppose tyranny, and primarily be supportive of freedom and prosperity policies elsewhere, rather than be an open borders chump ?
As usual, Clarice clarifies and defines the most critical and complex issues of our times in the most understandable and painstakingly documented terms. As fans of hers know, her writings are so clear and easily understood that even PBS “news” consumers can comprehend.
In this wide-ranging piece, Feldman highlights another extraordinary Obama lawless action which will surely further erode the affordability and effectiveness of America’s healthcare system (see footnote “1”).
She also addresses the refugee crisis unfolding in Europe and the Middle East and provides an incisive insight into the devastating dimensions and implications of it.
Feldman’s piece is an important read for everyone in considering the 2 016 presidential election.
Personally, given the issues Feldman addresses, as well as the myriad of other crises now occurring, I suggest that the outcome of the ’16 election may be America’s first truly existential crisis.

Remember the emotional gambits used to sell ObamaCare? I do. I still laugh at the nonsensical stupidity of some of them — like appealing to our heartstrings with examples like the woman who claimed she’d been forced to wear her dead sister’s dentures. Or Sandra Fluke’s soulful appeal for her coed friends who didn’t have a spare $9 a month for birth control pills.
Fall for tales like this in haste. Repent at leisure.
Regarding the refugee crises
Not one of the rich Gulf States has offered to take in a single Syrian refugee. The U.S., which already spends one billion dollars a year on refugee resettlement and countless more in welfare benefits, is being asked to take in more of these refugees. This would further burden those already at the bottom of the labor market.
Either the West turns them away or it ceases to exist. It’s that simple. The EU and the U.S. had the chance to fight on foreign soil or accept an invasion of their own lands, and chose poorly. Their choice now is to refuse social welfare benefits, scratch multiculturalism, and require assimilation instead of kowtowing to demands for disparate treatment, or die.

#1: The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced a planned new regulation Thursday that will require health insurers participating in Obamacare to cover more health procedures sought by the transgendered.
The new rule applies to every health insurer offering plans through Healthcare.gov or any of the state-run Obamacare insurance exchanges. It declares that insurers are prohibited from engaging in discrimination not only on the basis of sex, but also on the basis of gender identity.
In the past, several health insurance plans have categorically excluded health care related to transitioning between genders, often on the grounds that such procedures are often cosmetic, not medically necessary, and elective in nature. Now, such categorical bans will be disallowed, and insurers will have to cover many of the procedures.
