Walker departs on a sad note

There’s a lot to like about Scott Walker and we were among those who were pleased with his entry into the GOP presidential race.

Anyone who has followed events in Wisconsin and the dirtiest of tactics employed against Governor Walker by organized labor’s worst thugs and the Democratic part’s most corrupt Dairy State politicians must admire his courage and his unswerving commitment to principles of good government.

Thus it is with great disappointment we reflect on the classless and snide way in which Governor Walker chose to end his run.

“Today I believe that I am being called to lead by helping to clear the field in this race so that a positive, conservative message can rise to the top of the field,” Mr. Walker said. “With this in mind, I will suspend my campaign immediately.

“I encourage other Republican presidential candidates to consider doing the same,” he said, “so that the voters can focus on a limited number of candidates who can offer a positive, conservative alternative to the current front-runner.”

“…by helping to clear the field in this race…(for)…a positive, conservative alternative to the current frontrunner.”

And who might Walker be referring to … ¿JEB? Bush ? Or, perhaps, if Jeb’s campaign fails also, what other GOP establishment favorite, the sanctimonious “reverend” John Kasich?

Walker seems to blame his campaign’s disastrous end on “the current frontrunner” when, in fact, all reports are Walker was not getting any money from Republican donors. Hard to blame Mr. Trump for that…he’s financing his own run.

No, Mr. Walker. The “current front-runner” isn’t soaking up money that your campaign should have gotten. Your problem and that of many of the candidates in the GOP race is the failure to understand just how fed up Republican voters and the American people are with the politicians on both sides of the Washington establishment for their role in bringing the country to the dangerous place it finds itself in today.

Goodbye, Governor Walker. As Star Trek’s Mr. Spock would say, “Be well, and prosper”.
