Without remorse NBC features highly edited undercover video to decry a legal service

The-Most-Interesting-ManSo there we were this morning watching NBC’s Today show in between commercials elsewhere.  We noted that they would be doing a segment with The Donald and so we decided to stay tuned for a bit. Before that segment came up we were treated with a Jeff Rossen feature  Can psychics reveal the future? Jeff Rossen tests them with hidden cameras   The captured frame below is just  that, you will have to use the link above to view the spot in all its burning issue, investigative journalism glory.

Yes they went undercover with hidden cameras to “entrap” unsuspecting women conducting a legal service that people voluntarily use to help center their lives.  This despicable stunt resulted in a highly edited video intended to heap opprobrium on a  constitutionally protected right.  No doubt this Rossen character would like to see these clean friendly institutions banished to dark alleys where innocent people will be forced to engage unprofessional practitioners while the rich can travel to locations where their rights to their own bodies are protected and exalted.

If you are confused, we understand. The above purple prose paragraph is our amalgamation of the typical liberal rants decrying the Center for Medical Progress expose using undercover videos to report on Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted baby parts. The mainstream media could not even mention the existence of those videos, however rarely they did, without referring to them as “highly edited” and not also include rants similar to above from Planned Parenthood or their supportive ilk.

The NBC Today Show feature is a good example of what is decried in the following press release from September 30th.   Bozell Blasts CNN, NBC, ABC and CBS Reporting of Planned Parenthood Videos; Calls on Networks to Show THEIR Edited Footage

Media Research Center President L. Brent Bozell III today ripped CNN and network news outlets for referring to Center for Medical Progress undercover investigative videos of Planned Parenthood as “edited” or “heavily edited,” when they engage in those same news practices.

“The hypocrisy meter is going off the charts at CNN, ABC, NBC and CBS. In their reporting about the Planned Parenthood videos, they refer to them as ‘edited’ or ‘heavily edited.’ Well guess what? Each and every day these same TV news outlets edit and heavily edit their own news segments — including their stories about the Planned Parenthood videos.  Hours upon hours of footage is collected for every two to three minute segment they air, and the overwhelming amount of that footage hits the cutting room floor, never to see the light of day.

”What are these networks not showing the American people? What are they cutting? Don’t the American people have a right to see it? The difference between these networks and the Center for Medical Progress is that CMP is far more honest and transparent in disclosing the full footage and posting it online.  These “news” networks have a responsibility to do the same. Today, I am calling on CNN, ABC, NBC and CBS to make public all the footage they collect for all of the news segments they produce, just as the Center for Medical Progress has done. Until they do, they have no right to question CMP’s professionalism.”
