Rubio’s attack on Ted Cruz is an attack on Chuck Grassley…

  • . . . and Mike Lee and James Inhofe and another 20 Republican Senators
  • Rubio’s spokeshole says “Cruz voted with Harry Reid and Barack Obama to weaken US intel programs.”     Seriously, he said that.
  • Does Rubio not think people check his geewiz statements?
  • Cruz’s reputation preceeds him, unfortunately for Rubio, so does his.

Here is Marco Rubio’s stellar attack focused on Ted Cruz  (via The Blaze):

“At least two of my colleagues in the Senate aspiring to the presidency, Senator Cruz in particular, have voted to weaken the U.S. intelligence programs just in the last month and a half. And the weakening of our intelligence-gathering capabilities leaves America vulnerable.”

Rubio’s criticism of Cruz was amplified by the Florida senator’s press secretary who tweeted that the Senate record “shows Cruz voted with Harry Reid and Barack Obama to weaken US intel programs.”

So Rubio says Ted Cruz voted to weaken Americas security as regards the scope of NSA activities. If Rubio’s characterization of Cruz is true then he had traitorous co-conspirators in the persons of Chuck Grassley and Mike Lee and 21 other Republicans, a cabal wanting to keep our illustrious president from keeping tabs on terrorists (rather than everyday Americans.

The comments were on the heels of the Paris terrorism attack. As pointed out in comments to the Blaze report  “How does collecting metadata from American citizens apply to the terrorists operating in Europe and Syria?”

Rubio’s strident school boy attack is unbecoming, more so it is stupid. Here is the Senate vote link. USA Freedom Act of 2015.
