About Hillary’s unlimited abortion funding advocacy . . .

. . . how far the GOPe would go, and how consistent is Hillary on “rights”?mySuperLamePic_66ba0afdad3e4525f51826eabf204a94

Americans need not be concerned. The Republican party would never allow this. Of course, we are told, to insure that, a reliably Establishment GOP president is the ticket. Marco Rubio would certainly be one. But recall how Senator Rubio ran on a Tea Party agenda to win his seat and then became the champion of “common sense” comprehensive immigration legislation including a “path to citizenship” that his new best friend, Chuck Schumer approved of.

Or maybe Jeb Bush would be the ideal GOPe prez. But is some caution in order here? Could Jeb come to feel that abortion funding is really about fairness or bargaining or “an act of love”… much as he feels about illegal immigration? Would an establishment guy want to be accused of shutting down government over such a matter?

From John McCormack at The Weekly Standard (bold emphasis ours) :

Hillary Calls for Free Abortions for Medicaid Recipients

At an event to accept the endorsement of Planned Parenthood in New Hampshire on Sunday, Hillary Clinton called for unlimited taxpayer-funding of elective abortions for Medicaid recipients.

“I believe we need to protect access to safe and legal abortion, not just in principle, but in practice. Any right that requires you to take extraordinary measures to access it is no right at all,” Clinton said. “Not as long as we have laws on the book like the Hyde amendment, making it harder for low income women to exercise their full rights,” she added at the end of a list of restrictions that supposedly deny women a right to abortion.

How consistent is Hillary?

Lets repeat the intended money line:

Any right that requires you to take extraordinary measures to access it is no right at all,”

Think about it . . .  no doubt Hillary sees no irony compared to her other advocacy – limitations on Second Amendment rights   — something that actually is guaranteed in the Constitution as opposed to abortion and abortion funding.    Gun rights require background checks, waiting periods, age limits, putting up with designated enforcement agencies (ATF), removal of the “right” if one ever participated in illegal activity, necessity of crossing state lines to exercise such a “right,” (varying state laws), capacity (number) limits on the right, restrictions within a state on places where the right might be exercised, the fact that government does not pay for private citizens to enable their “guaranteed” gun rights, minimum age requirements,  etc., etc.  . . . all, by Hillary’s standards, when it comes to abortion, infringements on a right.  We will acknowledge the sincerity of Hillary’s statement when she advocates removing Second Amendment restrictions and advocates that government pay for our choice of guns and ammo, on demand and without apology.
