Obama to skip Scalia funeral (Scalia would be so disappointed)
Probably has an urgent fundraising appearance in Hollywood…or maybe a scheduled interview with GloZell in her bathtub. Via Politico:
President Barack Obama will not attend Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s funeral on Saturday, the White House said Wednesday. Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Jill Biden will attend.
Obama and first lady Michelle Obama instead will go to the Supreme Court on Friday “to pay their respects to Justice Scalia” while the justice lies in repose in the Great Hall, press secretary Josh Earnest told reporters Wednesday.
And then there is this:
The chart above is from the cross tabs of a Public Policy Polling (generally considered a Democrat poling outfit) of likely Republican voters in the South Carolina primary. Readers will have to scroll through a lot to find it, but it is there. Glenn Beck made note of it on his radio program and we checked it out. South Carolina has an open primary, one need not be a member of that party to vote in that party’s primary. How that relates to good government is unicorn stuff but it is what it is.
Anyway, note how the more liberal the respondent is, the more likely they are to believe “Whites are a superior race.” It fits with our understanding of RINOs and liberals in general. After three generations of “affirmative action” and other race based preferences and programs, supporters must believe something is innately inferior about others based on race. The truth is the result of government dependency and favoritism is pretty much the same no mater what the racial “beneficiary” often regression, including breakdown of families and other social sequelae.
