Iowa’s Senator Chuck Grassley is Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. We don’t trust Mitch McConnell’s conservative steadfastness very much . . . much . . . at all . . . so we see Grassley as the most important individual, at this moment in time, to protect the country from Obama’s opportunity to definitively end our constitutional republic through the mechanism of packing the judiciary with ardent liberals. Here is the message we sent Senator Grassley this morning:
The Senate process you have invoked of declining to hold hearings on President Obama’s SCOTUS nominees is entirely in keeping with our constitutions provisions regarding the Senate “advice and consent” and court nominees. You considered holding hearings and declined. You declined also by giving not only deference to the most recent general election, which put Republicans in charge of the Senate, but the upcoming election in favor of the American peoples “advice and consent” regarding the direction of the Supreme Court. The Constitutional is honored.
Please hold fast on your decision to stop Obama’s nominees who will inevitably be liberal and intent on subverting the Constitution. Obama’s current SCOTUS nominee Judge Garland has a record of hostility to the right to life, the second amendment, right to work and supports big government. All of Obama’s nominees will be essentially the same. There is no need to approve, indeed it is your mandate and oath to stop any Obama judicial nominee until he submits nominees who truly respect our constitutional republic and its separation of powers. Nothing requires you to submit to the transformation of the constitution and the country as fomented by Obama’s judicial nominees at all levels.
