Clarice Feldman, a favorite of us here at V’pac.com, in her latest column, Never say never, includes references to an array of articles taking on the “NeverTrump” people. It challenges some of the comments at least implied by the last Veritaspac post, to the effect we should be enthusiastic about Trump. Certainly it is an apologia and critique of the critics. Since the Trump part is a sort of point by point collection, and there are many made, picking the “best” points for purposes of summary is left to the reader. We recommend the Feldman collection and analysis in its entirety as rebuttal to those of us who are more NeverHillary than anything.
Obama-loo
There are two parts to this week’s Clarice, the other being — Obama’s Waterloo which deals with the insufferable attempt by Obama to force unisex bathrooms and locker rooms in public schools.
Although it is all well said, the part perhaps most interesting, a point we hadn’t considered, may be compelling to some people (those who can only relate to sports analogies) to look at the matter as seriously consequential.
It remains to be seen what affect this overreaching policy will have on girls’ sports — where boys can if they so desire, compete as girls. Will U.S. teams resemble the former East German “women’s” teams? Will the Olympics officials go along with the rule that boys can compete as girls if they want to? The school year is almost over but I have no doubt the furious, perfectly understandable outrage against it will only grow in fall and the new school year begins.
The article also offered a quotable reminder about liberal insistence that the proposed Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) did not call for unisex bathrooms. According to liberals today, equal rights does.
