Its not the one thing . . .

. . . it’s the dismal tide.

We have used that line before, we just wish it were not verging on tsunami.

The new Navy

Sounds like the Ray Mabus Navy model (although it may be short of transgenders and DACA recruits) —  “failure is our only option”

NY Post: Navy says American sailors blabbed to Iranian captors

The US sailors who were detained by the Iranian navy last winter provided their name, rank and serial numbers — and pretty much everything else their captors demanded, the US Navy said in a blistering report Thursday.

The 10 crew members, captured at gunpoint in the Persian Gulf on Jan. 12 by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, improperly revealed passwords for laptops and cellphones and even sensitive technical details about their two ships, including their top speed, capabilities and missions, the report said.

“It is clear that some, if not all, crew members provided at least some information to interrogators beyond name, rank, service number and date of birth,” the report said.
The Navy report blamed the incident on a combination of poor planning, clueless leaders who did not properly consider how risky their actions were, a lack of crew oversight and low morale.

More reading on the transgender and morale problems in the Navy ( implicating the performance of the captured boat crews) Can be found in this article by Tony Perkins, a Marine vet and now president of the Family Research Council.

Hang the flag upside down; it’s here

This broke last night.  It is beyond outrageous but it will work and be both supported and ignored by the MSM.

The USA is officially in the unbreakable grip of all out bureaucratic and political tyranny. . . . Brexit, ’16 US presidential election . . . what difference at this point will they make?

State Department Won’t Release Clinton Foundation Emails for 27 Months

Department of Justice officials filed a motion in federal court late Wednesday seeking a 27-month delay in producing correspondence between former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s four top aides and officials with the Clinton Foundation and Teneo Holdings, a closely allied public relations firm that Bill Clinton helped launch.

If the court permits the delay, the public won’t be able to read the communications until October 2018, about 22 months into her prospective first term as President. The four senior Clinton aides involved were Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Michael Fuchs, Ambassador-At-Large Melanne Verveer, Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills, and Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin.

What do elections have to do with anything?

Who cares what the “governed” think?    John Kerry: Brexit could be ‘walked back’

Mr. Kerry reflects the incredible arrogance that motivates the brutally tyrannical impulses of the Obama administration. Give them another 4 year term (the Obama/Hillary reign) and those impulses will be fully realized…with the most dire consequences imaginable !
The US secretary of state has raised doubts about whether Brexit will ever happen, suggesting most leave campaigners do not truly believe in Britain’s divorce from the EU and do not know how to achieve it.

Claiming there were a number of ways in which Thursday’s vote could be “walked back”, John Kerry, who visited Downing Street on Monday, said David Cameron was loth to invoke article 50, the EU exit procedure.

Well, who’da thought?

Now where have I heard a prediction like this?  22nd Amendment? That is sooo 20th century. Ask Judge Posner.

Majority of Democrats want third term for Obama   (The Hill)

A strong majority of Democrats would cancel the 2016 presidential election between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump if it meant President Obama could serve another term, a new poll found.

Data provided to The Hill by the conservative polling outlet WPA Research found that 67 percent of Democrats would take a third term for Obama over a potential Clinton administration.

Only 28 percent said they’re ready to move on from the Obama White House, while 6 percent are undecided.
Obama is enjoying a surprisingly strong approval rating for a president serving out the final months of his second term.
